Rigoberto is a semi retired businessman with an AA on computer sciences and MB on International business relations. Since 1996 served as diplomatic staff and investment promoter for DR in Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and lately South Africa. Its last business activity as a partner in an international consulting and trading business.
Started on amateur radio at the age of 16, obtaining first license in 1977.

Since last May of 2024 he is celetrating 45 years as a radio amateur.

Contesting: Started contesting in 2016 from then on interest on contesting has been progressively increasing.
From 2018-2024 has achieve 1st Place Dominican Republic 20 times on major contests like CQ-WW DX-SSB, DARC European Contest-ARRL-SA-10M-Contest–IARU-World Champ HF-CQ-WW-WPX; VHFContest-SA-10M-CQ WW RTTY-ARRL CW-& URE-King Of Spain Contest during 2023 & 2024.
2018-2024 Dxpeditions and other activities:
-In 2014 participated as host and Co-organizer of Saona Island Dxpedition 2014 HI2DX. A local dxpedition with the participation of 4 of the main clubs in the Dominican Republic, with international guests from Mexico, the USA and Puerto Rico.
-In 2017 was operator team member of Beata Island Dxpedition HI1UD
-In 2022 was part of the Svalbard Dxpedition JW0A operators team
-In 2023 was part of Isla Cabra Dxpedition as HI0LT operators team
-In 2024 was part of an intl team operating T42T from Havana, Cuba during the ARRL SSB DX contest.
Awards: Enjoys chasing new and rare DXCC entities and adding to his 308 total of confirmed entities and collecting awards.

-DXCC Challenge: With 2000 DXCC band-countries and counting to 2500- ARRL-Triple-Play(50 States Worked on CW-SSB &Digitals)
